I meant to give this a stellar review when I received this earlier in the year but didn't get to it until now. I still would but two weeks ago a durability problem arose and I cannot use this anymore. First the positive: the handle is very comfortable and ergonomic to hold and maneuver with. It gives immediate response to direct your pet "to do or not do", although with one important weakness: the line can get kind of hung/choked up a little when trying to apply the brake sometimes. I have to turn the position of the lease sometimes to make it engage. It seems to need perfect alignment with the opening. The encasement is tough and has survived a few bad drops and showed no cracks or scratches. Now, the bad news: the line itself has already worn to the point of it splitting and fraying apart! It won't retract reliably anymore either. My dog is small and moves about quickly so sometimes I need to get control of her very fast for her own safety. Unfortunately, I can't use this anymore.UPDATE: I passed this review on to Amazon Customer Svc who said it was not longer returnable but they were kind enough to give me a small credit. I then emailed the Tug Customer service and they responded quickly and offered to replace it free of charge. I am very pleased with both responses and I hope that the product replacement holds up well. Five Stars ***** for great customer service. Thank you.

Love the quality of this item, works very well and you can tell it is durable. I like that it comes with an extra strap in case they like to chew it. Can tell it will last due to good quality.

Good quality - nylon tape is really good stuff. It rolls really smoothly and doesn't get knotted. Thick tape. My dog can't tear loose to get that one squirrel. Tape is a good length. Price is very reasonable.

Love this leash. Retraction is smooth and tangle free. Strong lead.

Have been using this same leash for multiple years. Only had to buy a new one because I forgot the old one on the trunk of my car. 10/10 work great for a well trained dog with a human that has control issues.
